I have been asked to provide, sweet (easy) salt (easy) bitter and sour solutions for tasting.
What can i do for sour and bitter - i thought lemon but what for and what to do for the other one?

I think we just use coffee from the staffroom for the bitter.

Yeah....we use black coffee for the bitter and vinegar in water for the sour.

Check your tonic water, because I bought a home brand one last year, and it had sweetener added to it. Kinda defeated the purpose really. The branded stuff in a little four pack was better, and that way you usually only need to open one bottle per class anyway.

i bought the schweppes one...it does say there is sugar in there...! oh dear..

Waste not...Buy a bottle of gin to go with it not forgetting the slice of lemon. And then give 'em black coffee for the taste test and yourself after too many G & T's.
