I found some equipment in a dim dark cupboard and am wondering if anyone recognises it.
What is it? How is it used? It has a label that say "Frey Scientific" so I have emailed them to see if someone there has any idea...
Ok – without being able to draw on this computer … it consists of a plastic ruler attached to a metal plate, with a clamp-type attachment on the metal plate.
Imagine a ruler being held parallel to the desk..
On the back of the ruler is attached a metal plate 125mm x 75mm .. the plate is attached so the 125mm is along the ruler…
Then on the back of the metal plate is a clamp screw with a bar that looks like you can clamp it onto a retort stand or similar…
So when you look at the front

Yes Sunray, what is it?????
I know that there is someone out there whose imagination will take off on seeing that stupendous drawing and "name that piece of equipment".
We could start a new game show.
How about it Sunray? You can do the drawings and WE CAN GO CRAZY!

Hi Sunray
I had a thought.
Can you photograph it, upload the photos, and then upload here as an attachment?

Its Physics equipment for light experiments, and for using the laser etc. You can set the little bizzos at specific intervals and shine lights in a straight line etc etc. They are still sold at Scientrific etc.
Cheers, K
