growing crystals

Post by trish armstrong »

Hello,
I am wanting ideas on what other chemicals could be used to grow crystals for juniors.
We make borax crystals, copper sulfate crystals and alum potash crystals. A teacher asked me for any ideas on a different type to make it a little more fun.
Please let me know if your school can do a different one and how. [-o<

we sometimes use sugar or salt and colour it to make it pretty.
Use filter paper soak it in solution and fold into a cone shape and watch the crystals grow
