A recipe posted previously ( thank you smiley ) said dissolve 0.2 g of the indicator powder in 15 mL of NH3 and add 5 mL of ethanol). Could you please tell me what strength ammonia solution you use? Do you dilute the conc ammonia solution to about 3 or 4%?

Yes, use a dilution of Ammonia, 3-4% is fine.
