patient pump stock no 836640

I am cleaning out a space for my new FUME cupboard, this term some time. While trying to make space for the fume cupboard, I have had to clean out cupboards, I found a box of Black rubber Patient pump stock no 836640, staff have NO idea want they were used for. They are in very good nick, rubber nice and soft. Can any one help here???????

Pumping patience into teachers after a hard day? Into labbies after being asked for the impossible, ....for next lesson?

black round rubber, with holes in the top. They are in very good nick.

Kristin - you are very imaginative!

Have you seen the email going around about the Mensa competition to pick a word out of the dictionary, alter it by either adding, subtracting or changing one letter and supplying a new definition? EG BOZONE - the substance surrounding stupid people that stops less than bright ideas from penetrating. The BOZONE layer unfortunately shows little sign of breaking down in the near future. :cheesy:

I reckon you would be good at that too!
