if you are in Independent school you need to send your request to our Customer Service Team to be
transitioned to the GoldFFX system. It is up to you do you want change it or stay with ChemGold3.

Hi June,
Are you an Independent school or public? Jazz was saying that if you were private you had to register your school, so therefore we had a choice.

Hi Superbug

yeh I'm Catholic Independent -- perhaps that's the reason why. It just would have been nice to know what was going on instead of finding out when I went to log on and couldn't get in.

This email is passed to me by lab tech working in catholic school. It looks like they are the only one with access for now, everyone else including indipendant school wsitd for the DET to give a green light
"Unfortunately ChemFFX is also a part of the "old" suite of applications that are going to be phased out so it is best not to use this either. Our BackPack, ChemFFX and ChemGold 3 applications will be phased out and replaced very soon with BackPack/Gold FFX to which Sezer has given you the link below.

Our local Catholic Schools Office emailed me about the changes to GoldFFX (changes were handled by the CEC).
All my manifest files were migrated to the new application during the holidays and I've been using it this week....can't say I love it but I guess I'll get used to it.
I don't know what state or independent schools are doing.

I am at an independent school and still have access to ChemFFX. Just logged in now and is still the same. I have heard nothing to the contrary but that is not neccessarily a surprise either.

According to Alan Smith from DET:
there are some issues with risk assessment of some chemicals ( using ChemWatch database) and they waiting this to be resolved. CSIS package is in the pipeline to be upgraded ( AGAIN). He said there will not be many changes as CSIS book is good as is .He is not sure when it will be finished.

Mother:
A Directive from the Department was in "The Bizz" Think that is what it is called. Comes out once a week. Regarding GHS System etc. Can not remember that date but it was last year.

Hi everyone,

Haven't logged on here in a while, and just going through old posts to catch up.

This may interest those from NSW DEC schools:

Last month I contacted Chemwatch re organising some more T&D for our region. Anna's reply was that they don't run training for CG3 any more, as they are in the process of transferring all clients to GoldFFX.

However, they don't have 'a time line' for NSW Government schools yet, and suggested we wait until after ther upgrade occurs.

Cheers,
Liz
