Powdered solid

To save me walking up to the staff room in this heat - if a teacher asked for a powdered solid - anything we have lots of, what would you give them?
They only want 1cm in a beaker...for year 8.

something that is non hazardous such as Flour, Talc iceing sugar
Whatever is cheap and you have plenty of!
