Effectiveness of Acne Preparations Using Chicken skin.
Dead Chooks. Thank goodness. This was a prac recomended , I believe through STAWA.
Skin is stretched across a Polystyrene block, 5x5x1cm using dissecting pins. skin is divided in half, Acne preparation placed on one half. Placed and sealed in a Petri dish. Each Acne preparation is set up in the same way. Experiment is observed over 10 to 14 days.

Are you talking live chooks or dead chooks? Where did your teacher dig up this prac or is it something a student has found on the net and wants to do it as an investigation?

Are the plates kept in a cool environment? After 10 to 14 days wouldn't they be a little on the nose? I won't broadcast this prac to the biology teacher. He just might want to do it. In this warm environment no matter how well the dishes were sealed I would end up having to deal with the maggots. YUK!!!

Plates are kept out of direct sunlight at room temperature. Plates are sealed as normal.
