Hi all,
There is an OHS course for Science staff and Labbies at the AIS Head Office at York St Sydney on Thursday this week. Just curious to know if anybody else is going to it?

Ian

Re: AIS OHS Course?
Wasn't even aware it was available!
I am on our OHS Committee, and would love to hear more. Are you going?

Re: AIS OHS Course?
Hi Liz
I will be there with one of my Bio teachers. It is at AIS, so probably just an Independant School thing. That would explain why they didn't tell you about it. (probably cucumber sandwitch fingers for morning tea, and all that!)
regards

Re: AIS OHS Course?
Hi Ian,
Yes, I'm going. Was hoping to find out about Risk Assessments, among other things. I need a bit of guidance in that area. I have a few different forms from various schools and people(including Robb), and am hopingto get some sort of system in place for next year.
Anyone else going?
Ellice.

Yes Please!
Re: AIS OHS Course?
Hi All,
I went to that course last thursday and I found it a bit of a waste of time, as they spent HALF the day teaching people how to search and navigate chemgold (chemwatch) webpage, . I would have liked it better if they actually spent some more time on risk assessments instead... Maybe you should prepare lots of questions to get a bit more out of it than I did. Hope you have a better experience than I did, have fun

Re: AIS OHS Course?
I attended this course earlier in the year, and found the same as Sassi, we would like to set up a good system, and we are still confused, even after the day in Sydney. Ian if you get some clearer info could you please pass it on.
Enjoy it anyway, a day away from the norm, and cucumber sandwiches mmmm.
cheers
Lisa
