Cleaning burettes

Further to the subject of burettes, any hints on getting them really clean? We used to use chromic acid in the good old days, but that's out of the question, as its banned. Also, has anyone heard of teflon coated burettes? Apparently less beading on inside, so more accurate readings.

Now do not laugh! Nappy San yes thats correct. Its just great for glassware.

My GA made me up a container to soak them in - 1m length of pvc pipe (10cm inner diameter), sealed at one end. Works well.
When not needed for this purpose, it's a great place to store the long springs (threaded onto lengths of dowel).
