Text books, do you get them returned to you?

At the end of year do you get the students Yr 12 to return the text books or do you buy new ones?

Haven’t seen a Textbook here Labbie , they are all online .

At old school in NSW , all text books were signed out to students . They were supposed to not be issued their leaving certificates until they returned them . But I remember many textbooks turning up at the start of the next year.

Our students buy their own as part of the booklist. They then get to keep them (or sell them on so someone else can use them)

We have a couple of copies of upper school textbooks for tech/teacher reference but we only keep class sets of lower school textbooks.

The only exception is a class set of Earth & Environmental Science textbooks from the days when senior school in WA was 10, 11 and 12. They're tomes but incredibly well-written. So much so I was still referring to it through my first year of tertiary geology and environmental biology

Our students also buy their own as part of a booklist, we have a copy in our lab of them all.

Our students borrow text books through the library and then return them through the library for me to store until next year. They can't be signed out at the end of the year until all books are returned or paid for. They also can't borrow again until their books are returned.
