cuvette jammed in the spectrophotometer

Hi all
We have had a bright spark put the cuvette the wrong way in the spectrophotometer. Apparently this is not the first time this has happened but this time it is really jammed. Has anyone got any suggestions apart from pulling the whole thing apart which I am reluctant to do?
The model is Spectrumlab S23A.
Fingers crossed.....
Kathryn :-?

It is not very hard to open up the S23A.
First you have to remove the large wavelength selection knob - cant remember if it has a screw in the side or if it just pulls up.
(removing the knob will not upset the calibration)
Then you undo the screws underneath and lift the front so it opens from the front like it is hinged.
Then you can access the cuvette holder.

hope that helps
Harvey

Thanks heaps - that information was helpful. Took us awhile to work out how to remove the wavelength knob as we had to notice that the top of the knob comes off to reveal a screw. Cuvette now removed and spectro all back together. Hopefully it still actually works.
