Welcome back to the best site. Many thanks to Westlab for providing this link.
My question is : how do you make a .5m solution of Ammonium thiocyanate? I can't find a recipe in my books and am hoping that one of you wonderful labbies can enlighten me.
Thanks in advance
Ammonium thiocyanate
Re: Ammonium thiocyanate
ammonium thiocyanate ;MW= 76.12g. To make 1 litre of 0.5 M solution, dissolve 38.06g in water.
Re: Ammonium thiocyanate
Please feel free to correct me but this is how I work out mass needed.
Mass (grams) = Molarity needed (eg 0.5M) X Molecular weight (which is on most containers of chemicals)
This is to make up 1000ml of solution
