Hi All,
Have been cleaning out our chemical store & have discovered a nuber of containers with oxidised Calcium in them. Any suggestions on how to do dispose of this?
Thanks

Oxidised Calcium
Hi hel,
To dispose of this (being in the form that it is) I would dissolve small amounts in large volumes of water.
Do this in a fume cupboard where practicable, this wont be an issue if small quantities at a time are used eg 25g at a time.
Because the build up of the oxide has occured the better option is to use water.
This will help.
Cheers,
Robb.....
