Degassed water

Has anyone ever been asked for degassed water? What is the best way to prepare it? It is for a rusting prac.

I put a magnetic stirrer in a beaker of water and mix for about 20 minutes.

Would have thought that might Oxygenate it . ...I know guys do this with yeast to quickly build up a culture

Boiling it works but you need to either stopper it to use straight away. I wouldn't think stirring it would work but a sonicator would.
