Post by Bec :) »

Hi! I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove the white residue off hydrochloric acid reagent bottles? Thank you!

I just run mine under the tap for a while, then wipe dry with paper towel, then dispose of the paper towel. I wear my goggles and an apron / gloves when I do this.

Hi Bec - use the plastic disposable ones for making agar plates. They need to be sterilised before disposal - there are plenty of other posts that discuss this. The whole lot can be treated and then thrown away.
I do as Narelle does with the bottles, rinse them but always wear safety goggles and gloves.

The staff room is too far. By the time I give my students medications at the start of lunch, and gather my lunch and walk up there, toast / heat or do whatever, lunch is over. So I just eat here, browsing stuff on the internet during lunch. :)
