Bunsen burner hose

We are looking at purchasing bunsen burners and I have been asked to try and find hosing suitable - "black bits on each end and netting around the hose" (this is the exact description the HOD gave me). Any ideas where said hosing could be bought?

Never seen anything like it. I bought some of the silicon tubing for our bunsens here, really happy with it.

I love the blue silicone tubing from Westlab - it has a square outer profile so it sits flat on the bench.

The hosing you are referring to is the type they use in high pressure systems -it is called PVC BRAIDED HOSE PIPE REINFORCED TUBING . You can find it on ebay and some other specialist suppliers. The use it in the food industry also - do a Google search for it. VERY EXPENSIVE and really not required for school gas pressures

Thanks Sunray. Did a Google search and I'll go with the blue silicone tubing - much cheaper :D

That was the tubing that I bought too. At the time it was the best price and has the advantage of sitting flat on the bench. I know the other type of hose you mean, now (thanks Sunray). Definitely a bit over the top!
