EVA Tubing

Post by Labbie »

:cheesy: :clap3: EVA Tubing ideal as a substitute for glass tubing. Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA Tubing) is a rigid walled flexible plastic tubing which is easy to cut, may be bent, mouled into different shapes and is resistant to Petrol and oil. Size: 4mm inner diamter 7mm Outer diameter. For ideas go to www.rtg.wa.edu.au/ideas/evatubing/evatubing.htm

Sounds so great, we have ordered some of this, has any one already got some, how do you find it???????????? :clap3:

Be warned that you heat it in near-boiling water in order to shape it. Which means that you can't use it for all applications or else it loses its shape! I made some delivery tubes for the Pasteur experiment and they flopped spectacularly when the broth was boiled!

I bought some about 2 years ago - and the teacher who requested it has never picked it up since...
