Hello everyone,
Do any of you sharpen your own dissection scissors, if so, how do you do it?
Thanks! And not long to holidays now
Cheers

I enquired to have mine sharpened quoted $8 a pair.
Cheaper to buy new ones at under $5 from serrata.
Cheers, Trish
(now use old ones for paper cutting if the teachers loose the stationary scissors between stationary procurement)

Do a search on 'dissection scissors' to see what other people have said e.g. cutting alfoil or steelwool might help

Get a glass jar or beaker and cut the rim of the jar or beaker with the sissors and they will become nice and sharp.

Could you use a file to sharpen or perhaps even a knife sharpener would do the trick

try a steel, some times it has a handle, and you sharpen your scissors or knife on this steel.

Smiley.
You cut the rim of the glass like you are cutting a piece of paper.
You will be very surprised how sharp the sissors will be.
It works, I have been doing this for years.
