How do I clean off burned sugar in evap. dishes?

Good day everyone,

I have 6 large evaporating dishes that have burned sugar in them, that I really do not want to throw away.
Does anyone have a good tip on how to clean them? I've tried soaking, scalpal-scraping and steelwool scouring but no
luck! Thanks guys!

try conc. sulphuric acid
