Science equipment inventory

Hi Labbies
I have just created an inventory of all our science equipment using the app eStorage on my iPad. Each item can be photographed, show cost, number of items held, storage location etc. Once created, a lengthy project, I saved it to iCloud, downloaded it to google drive on my computer and emailed the catalogue to all science staff. Staff can now have quick access to finding equipment on their notepads to browse or check if we have a piece of equipment they may need. Only I can add or alter the database and as I update it automatically updates their database.
Interested if anyone else tried a similar storage file and comments please.
Tania

I must say that sounds terrific, particularly for new labbies. Could you use it to monitor who has got which piece of equipment out, so you know where it is, (providing the teachers haven't helped themselves)?
Mind you I don't actually have an ipad, but I think there is a "science" dedicated one here somewhere, and I need a project, haha.
Did you have to buy the app or was it a freebie?

Hi
If you type in items and storage & inventory it should come up with it, Kiwi Objects, I think it was about $7 from memory. And yes it does have capacity to loan equipment, I have lent equipment to other schools so I send an email as a reminder with a photo.
I had to use my personal ipad but that's ok really.
