Our biology teacher tends to get different types of leaves from various gardens etc so that the students can see them plants. We are also quite close to centennial park so the biology class take a walk down there. I think they have a program that they run. I also think the botanical gardens have a program.

Hope this helps! It tends to be a primarily theory based topic unfortunately.

Thank you, sarahj.
We are in a small country town a long way from Sydney and the Botanical Gardens. Although, now you mention it, we could take them to Coffs Harbour Botanical Gardens. Hmmmm. food for thought.
Thanks again

What about looking at something like the limb reduction in skinks and the legless lizards in Australia. I remember finding a chart once that showed how the body became more elongated as the legs/toes were reduced, and that therefore the gait became more like a slither.

Is that what you're looking for?

We order the "Museum in a Box" for the Evol of Aust Biota. It costs $88 - they deliver it by courier and collect it - we have it for 3 weeks in Term 3.
