Froth Floatation experiment.

Hi Labbies out there,

Would anyone have a new froth floatation experiment that works well .

Would appreciate any advise

We use very simple experiment.
Put spatula of sand and same of iron(III)oxide(red) in large t/tube. Half fill with water.Stopper it and shake. Add 2 ml of detergent and a few drops of kerosene. Shake again. Scoop off the froth into a watch glass and check if it contains mineral (red oxide).

It is messy and smelly of kerosene, but seems to work.
See if you get better suggestions.
