Thanks Narelle, Will be great to put some faces to some names. Its in the hands of the business manager now and he needs to discuss it with the principal. I wonder if I can provisionally book some accommodation as I won't know for another 2 weeks as we hae holidays after tomorrow :)

I would! Explain that you will confirm or cancel the minute you know - but you would hate to miss out.
I am sure with the conference happening, they will fill the room easily anyway.

Good luck!
Closer to the date I will PM you my mob number

Some lovely young ladies from Bonnyrigg are coming, Mileana, Lucy, & Debbie I feel sure you will all make them very welcome. I will miss you all this year. But I have been asked to let the younger ones go.

Anyone who can, should be there!

Lots of friendly lab techs happy to share and lots of great workshops.
Feeling left out as I will not be there myself, and remembering my wonderful visit a couple of years ago

Rosalie (another one) :-(

Sorry to everyone else, but I have just booked (and paid) for the last room at St Marys park view motel. Coupled with $59 flights to Sydney, my business manager is quite pleased with the final cost. Puts me in good standing to make a repeat visit sometime in the future ;)

Big YAY! to me as I'm all sorted now. Can't wait until November :clap3:

How very exciting for you! I am not even brave enough to ask if I can go after the funding cuts were announced and having given unofficial notice that I am only working till the end of term 1 next year. I really can't see them saying yes, or even considering it, and I'm pretty sure they would be thinking (if they didn't voice it) "In what world do you think THAT would get approved?" So yeah... I really loved the 2 out of 6 that I've been to! For anyone who is new and can't go this year, make sure it goes in your science budget for next year!! Start telling them NOW how important it will be for you to get there! It really is a conference worth getting to!

Oh Rosalie, that's not good :( I work in the Catholic system and I must say, they are very good with PD for support staff. It also comes out of the schools PD Budget, although my HOD was willing to pay for it out of the Science Budget. I also work part time at two catholic schools, so they share the cost.

But I have always said that you guys in NSW have it tought sompared to some ouf us.
