Can anyone tell me if theres is a system available for misting stick insects cages over weekends? One of our stick insects died over this last weekend because we could not mist the leaves twice a day .. so any ideas for a system that can spray a fine water mist for about 30 seconds twice a day on a timer would be really welcome

Were in NSW are you?
Im from the coast and didnt need to mist the stick insects over weekend. I just made sure there were fresh leaves and fresh water in the conical which held the leaves.
I only misted on weekday mornings and again on a very hot summer day.

I am with Bindi. I only spray a couple of times a week.
But a change leaves 3-4x a week

I'm in North Queensland and we study stick insects in the 2nd half of the year. I found that if we misted the leaves heavily on Friday afternoon and left a few small pools of water in the bottom of the tank that was enough to get them through the weekend. However, first thing Monday morning when they were misted again, they always "drank" quite heavily from the leaves. They seemed to survive quite happily for 6 weeks this way. Then of course they had to come home to my 8 year old for the rest of their lifespan.
