Where does everyone store their thymol? it seems to be incompatable with everything!

thymol D.G 8 corrosive, you can store it with solid corrosives chemicals at least mine is there

Thanks for bringing this up. I just checked ours and it was sitting on the shelves with all the general chemicals yet the MSDS has a hazard alert High Corrosive and toxic to marine life hmmmmmm

It says in CSIS NR (not a regulated dangerous good) But the MSDS says class 8: and also says it should be segregated from :
strong reducers (hydrides, nitrides, alkali metals, sulphides), sulphuric acid, nitric acid of any kind, alkalies, oxidising agents, and carbonates. At the moment I have it on the corrosive solids shelf in its own containment tray, but I don't have enough room for a buffer zone beyond that.

Gosh I hope that CSIS Appendix D gets 'upgraded' after the new WHS Legislation comes in next year.
