Does anyone have a recipe for preparing plant specimens into a resin block

Its not as easy as it sounds, I did it about 15 years ago and Im sure to resins have improved.
there in a simple procedure on this site.
Google, 'How to use epoxy resin in craft'
But there is alot of sanding involved and polishing so you dont see the layers which it doesnt mention. Maybe the new epoxy doesnt show it as much! not sure.
Also, epoxy hates water
