Measuring abiotic factors prac

Hi, hope everyones having a lovely day so far!

Just a quick request - has anyone got any cheap alternatives for ways to measure abiotic factors (light intensity, TDS, humidity, chloride ions, wind speed, etc.) not using meters... for a prac a teacher here wants to do?

Also does anyone do this prac & what sorts of factors do you measure & how?

Go to Google and type in measuring abiotic factors and a site nationalzoo.si.edu is there and it has an experiment that might suit.
