Any ideas on how to get Silver nitrate stain off the door (white plastic) on the dishwasher ???? I've tried Sodium thiosulphate and it did not work.

What about using some good old fashioned "Gumption"? It seems to work for me on most surfaces.

Barbara Dungey (The Laboratory, p67) recommends 10% aqueous sol'n of Sodium Thiosulfate, failing that, ammonia or nitric acid.

Just to let you know that Ammonia didn't do anything BUT 'Gumption' removed it. Thanks for you help - Cin
