Sulphuric Acid Concentration
Re: Sulphuric Acid Concentration
This website had a dilution calculator.
http://www.lgpnet.com/science/dilution.htm
7.14ml in 1000ml will give you 0.1M

Re: Sulphuric Acid Concentration
Dear Narelle - All of the concentrated Sulphuric acid we have ever bought has been 95-98% acid and according to the "Laboratory Manual" is 18M, Molecular Weight 98.08, Density - 1.84g/ml Use directly from the bottle as supplied for a 1M solution place a vessel containing approx. 750ml distilled water into cold water in the sink (a lot of heat is generated when conc. H2SO4 is added to water) SLOWLY add 55ml of conc. H2SO4 to the distilled water stirring constantly and make up to 1 litre with the distilled water. Allow to cool. For the 2M use 110ml per Litre. For your 0.1M use 5.5ml per litre. Not being a Maths Wizz myself, I rely heavily on the "Laboratory Manual" by Barbara Dungey. Hope that helps. Judy
