Acidified Potassium Iodide solution

Anyone know a recipe for
Acidified Potassium Iodide solution?
Its a 0.1 mol/L solution.. but doesnt tell me anything else.
What kind of acid..how much, conc???

I've got this recipe:
0.3g KMnO4 in 200mL 1M H2SO4 (or 1.6g to 1L)

Carol, wrong potassium salt.
I cannot help either, because I am not sure if HCL or H2SO4 will precipitate anything out.

Make up your 0.1M solution of potassium iodide which is: 16.6g in 1 litre of distilled water then add about 6 drops of conc. sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid.
