Just asking, but if it is a food, why do you have to have an MSDS? :coffee:

When they have MSDS such as these it devalues the information on real MSDS's. We know these things aren't true for coffee, does it mean that such warnings on other chemicals aren't to be taken seriously also????!!!!

Guess that's the trouble with a generic MSDS - what applies in an instant coffee factory doesn't apply in a kitchen. Same goes for flour really.

My favourite part was the bit about if aspirated through the nosal passages, encourage victim to blow the nose. Coffee coloured boogers yay! :cheesy:

Did you read the comments on some of the rediculous MSDSs out there when it was talked about on here a little while back? They are in this thread

http://www.chemtalk.com.au/viewtopic.ph ... our#p15633

How can you take an MSDS on water seriously when it says "CHRONIC HEALTH EFFECTS
â–  Long-term exposure to the product is not thought to produce chronic effects adverse to the health (as classified by EC Directives using animal models); nevertheless exposure by all routes should be minimised as a matter of course."?

or

"â–  Not normally a hazard due to non-volatile nature of product.
The material is not thought to produce adverse health effects or irritation of the respiratory tract (as classified by EC Directives using animal models). Nevertheless, good hygiene practice requires that exposure be kept to a minimum and that suitable control measures be used in an occupational setting."
