Have been searching chemwatch site trying to work out how to register for this bulletin (I remembered a previous chemtalk post in which Labbie told us how to get it), but I can't see the link to apply.
Would you mind passing on directions please, Ri?

Thanks - it sounds like something we should have access to!

Talking of Sulphuric acid - any one know how much dilute sulphuric needed to acidify Potassium permanganate for comparison reactivity of alkenes and alkanes - a few drops or more? Yhanks. Cheers. Judy

Which Heinemann's book do you need? We might have a CD here but will have to check.

Copper sulfate, was a class 6 a few years ago. Then it went on Class 9. I shall be most interested in what chemwatch has to say.

Hi All,

Just to remind you all of off topic areas, it would be better if there are any changes to post from topics like changing from certain Chemicals to another, this allows others whom have little or no experience to peruse through relevant topic areas to pinpoint the answer they require.

If Copper Sulfate discussions are found in the Sulfuric Acid topic this would be quite hard to find for those people seeking the information or those generally interested.

The Discussions are brilliant and we don't want them to be lost forever, afterall those people seeking your wisdom in all of these points will miss all of this.

I trust you all agree.

Cheers,

Hi All,
Can I ask what's actually new info in that bulletin? Seems like I've always known sulfuric acid is pretty mean stuff.

Just replying quickly, what attracted me was its being declared as a carcinogen and its effects on teeth when concentrated, are two that come to mind.
Also bringing to mind that as a subscriber, the Chemwatch Bulletins contain refreshed information that apply to technicians in schools as well as the industrial community.
Hope this helps,
Robyn
