Science Week 2009.

Post by trish armstrong »

Hello labby's,
My HOD and the rest of our dept are looking (or asking) for ideas on what we could do for science week this year.
We are over the making of models and straw towers. :boring:
Please give us some ideas to plan and make it a good week.
Keen to hear any ideas.
Trish. :D

Ever tried doing something with dry ice?

Make glug: cornflour, food colouring and water. Is it solid or liquid? The kids can take some home in cliplock bags.

Cook some popcorn. Again, the kids can take some home.

Have you tried doing a search yet?

Open day, orientation day, etc. - I know there's been lots of posts on the topic, it's just a case of coming up with the 'right' keywords!
Or search in the recipes and pracs forum...

Happy hunting - maybe a good holiday activity for when you're bored at home LOL!

Do the Coke & Mentoss
We did it here and the kids loved it they stayed inside and we did it out side on the grass with some music.
Also did big bubbles with a hulla hoop that was fun :clap3: :cheesy:
