Monday April 27 is part of our holidays- gazetted some time ago, long before the govt changed the day to make it not a public holiday in lieu of anzac day. So we come back on the Tuesday April 28, which will be a pupil free day at our school. This is for NSW dept schools, don't know about anyone else.

That's right, all NSW staff come back on Tuesday 28th April. Some fool made a mistake a few years ago when working out holidays - there has been quite a bit in the media over the past few weeks over this. Good for us, bad for everyone else.

MOst of our staff brought their children with them on the day. ANd they took turns in watching them in the library watching a film, Disney film. I do believe it is up to the Principal, ours just said so long as they are NOT all running around all day long. The staff had to register how many children they would be bring.

I believe Carer's leave if they the children or family member is sick? But check with staffing?

No other jobs that I know of give time off for school holidays and pupil free days so I don't see why we would be any different.
