Hi Lita
I bought some the other day at a stationary supplier at Tuggerah, I took the last of it but they were expecting some in this week, try Coastal Office Supplies, in Erina. I did buy it as blotting paper, which isnt common anymore in newsagents. I think it was about 70c a sheet A3 size.
Cheers see ya sorta tomorrow

I had trouble replenishing my stock of chromatography paper some years back so I cut up filter paper which worked fine. We only need it to be about 1cm wide and 6cm long to fit in small test tubes so I have continued to use the filter paper.
hope this helps if you can't find the real thing

Livingstone School Supplies sell Chromatography paper box 100 200mmx200mm cost $128 + GST
or Westlab Supplies have it far cheaper at $49.00 for 100 sheets 25x25cm
This is by far the cheapest I have found Chromatography paper

If you need sheets in a hurry, Go to stationary supplier and ask for blotting papper.
The people who use rubber stamps often use this after stamping or go to art suppliers and get water colour paper, the artists doing watercolour soak paper first then paint on the wet paper,It's all the same stuff

we use filter paper.. make 2 cuts towars the centre of the circle.. to form a 'tab', then place filter paper on top of the beaker contining the solute (water or ethanol) then make sure the tab is immersed into the solute... simple...
