Good morning all
Looking for ideas on storage of separating funnels. We have only had a few so they have been in a drawer but with an expected big increase in Chemistry students next year, I have purchased a bunch more. They could do with a tidier, safer way to be stored.
Thanks in advance.
Kathryn
Photo copy box lids at my old school. We could fit 3 in each from memory. I actually don’t remember seeing any at my current school so I will have to look for them when I’m back on site!
Hi just want to ask, when you store your separating funnels and quick fit glassware, do you grease it before you store it or as you bring it out to use.
just has esters done and no glassware was greased and luckily i have only 1 condensor and flask stuck together. Cheers

We store our quickfit glassware separate and only grease it as needed.
As for the storage of separating funnels, the ones we have are 500ml and too big for any useful sized containers... They used to live in a big drawer but with the lab refurbishment those drawers no longer exist. The funnels will need to be stored on a shelf in the store room. Any suggestions? They will be in a box with bubble wrap to start with but I am trying to reduce the number of cardboard boxes we use to make it easier to stack and see everything.
