Local butcher up here where I’m getting mine from says it’s almost impossible to get sheep offal ( hearts, liver, kidneys etc )as it’s all being exported . However, not a problem getting Pig Offal ….. apparently they don’t like pork .

Maybe asking Butchers / meatworks for Pig bits might get results .

Im located in Western Sydney NSW. I have found a place that supplies eyes and hearts however I am still in need of liver's and kidney's.
Thank you :)
I would think kidneys and liver to be easier to source than eyes and hearts!
I get ours from our local butcher. I do have to give him a couple of week's notice but he often has them quicker. I haven't had to buy eyes for a long time.

Our local butcher told me they can't get the body parts because the abattoirs don't have enough staff to spend the extra time getting all the bits out carefully to not damage them. That is why they are getting more expensive as well. We had trouble sourcing eyes, but I have now found an abattoir at Kurri Kurri where I can buy directly so anyone in the hunter/Newcastle/Maitland area can get them there. Just be aware even when you order well in advance, they are still frozen on pickup! I have only ordered once (hearts/pluck) so next time I will ask if they can be fresh/defrosted but I don't know if they will do that or not. They are not particularly cheap although I don't recall prices. When I lived in Tamworth we got them fresh (still warm!!) and free and I didn't know how good we had it!

We recently ordered lamb hearts and kidneys from this website:

https://www.allpetspantry.com.au/product/lamb-heart/

Their website says they deliver to most of the east coast and southern side of Australia (Gold Coast, Brisbane/Sunshine Coast down to Melbourne).

Seems to be a lot cheaper than butchers. Around here butchers charge $4 each for hearts, whereas this place charges $9/kg, which worked out to be 5 good-sized hearts.

We ordered 5 x 1kg packs of hearts recently. 4 of them were great - vacuum sealed and nice and big. The 5th pack seemed to be all the leftovers unfortunately. There were about 7-8 in there, but they were tiny and not well-formed/squished (couldn't see the valves and chambers etc). But apart from that pack they were great, and so much cheaper! I think next time I will write a note asking if we could be given all good-sized ones. It's a pet food place, so the leftovers would be fine for feeding dogs, not so great for dissections, so hopefully they will be OK with that.

They do come in frozen, but they thawed easily and the vacuum sealed packs were nicely packed in a single layer, so came apart nicely.

Kidneys also come frozen in kg packs, which they told me was about 12 kidneys. We got 2 packs. They haven't been used yet, but they look good.

Ooooh, I just searched up "pluck" on that website, and kangaroo and goat plucks came up! But they are out of stock....

I wonder if they order them in on request. Hopefully not frozen.....

Actually, just had another look, and they also come in 1kg bags, so I'm guessing they wouldn't be whole/intact plucks :-(
