I'm trying to find a few things that I want to buy and I'm having trouble sourcing them! Can anyone help me find a supplier for the following please?
Dropper bottle caps - white screw caps (no teats) for 50ml amber dropper bottles
Test tube brushes with the fluffy bit on the end
Single cavity/concave microscope slides
Also, while I'm here, who do you recommend for glass measuring cylinders and beakers?
Thanks!
Rosalie

Do you mean the caps with holes in them? Companies that sell the cap/teat/dropper combo might be willing to send you just the cap if you ask them. Otherwise I can see solid caps for those bottles at Haines.
I see what you mean about the brushes, it's hard to find ones with cotton ends. But Southern Biological definitely has this type.
I haven't bought single cavity slides for a while but SSA seems to have the brand of slides that I like. Otherwise Haines, MTA, and Westlab have some as well.
I normally don't discriminate when it comes to glassware, I haven't noticed much difference between suppliers so I just lump it in with whoever I've chosen depending on the more specialised stuff I need.
Hope this helps.

Re: where to buy?
Thanks Milo.
I mean the full lid for storing chemicals without the droppers in. I'm pretty sure I used to buy them from Serrata but I can't find them on the MTA website.
I had forgotten about SSA so will check them out for slides and also Southern Biological for the test tube brushes.
I remember years ago going cheap with measuring cylinders. About half of them didn't survive the freight journey and the measurements seemed to have been randomly stamped on and were far from accurate. Replacements were sent though so we eventually ended up with the right amount. I don't remember who that supplier was (it was over 10 years ago) but I am hoping not to repeat that process!

Re: where to buy?
We purchase our bottle lids from science Supply. Store chemicals with a full cap and then swap them out for the droppers just for class. We have stopped storing most of our chemicals with the droppers for safety.
Glassware - Westlab stuff is good for school.
Bottle brushes and slides - also Science Supply.

Re: where to buy?
Lids - Haines or SSA.
Measuring cylinders - SSA
Beakers - usually buy Simax, Bomex are really variable, from SSA
Labtech are worth having a look at too. Quality is pretty good.
We had some measuring cylinders here with the plastic bases. OMG they are just awful. We have some Bomex with round glass bases and they are so flimsy. The bases are tiny. I can't wait for them to break so I don't have to look at them anymore!
