So I am over balancing the balances … We have the scout ones and of course what high school student is going to be careful with a plastic pipette let alone a $300 balance!
So have you found a cheaper alternative for Juniors …
Appreciate all suggestions and feedback … Kate
Balances
Re: Balances
I found these, bought a few and went back and got some more. They are not always suitable depending on the prac but are great!

We usually use them for Seniors and have a "Please count Out and In" reminder (very easy to slip into a pocket) - but at this price ($50 or less each) they can be counted as a consumable!
Go up to 600g. 2 decimal places. Battery operated. A bargain!

Re: Balances
Those look amazing! What are the dimensions? Could you fit a tiny beaker on the weighing pan?

You can put a 150ml beaker on them quite easily. 250ml is a bit larger than the pan. But the fact that they take up to 600g means you can tare and still fit a lot in the beaker!
We've been using them for about a year, have had a few issues but pretty minor, especially when you consider the price. Easy to calibrate as an extra bargain!
