All schools will be on Gold FFX by now - your school should have received mail about this - I bet it hasn't filtered down to your desk!

I just sent an email to CG3, as suggested in the message that comes up when you open CG3.
This is the reply I received:

Hi Judy

As your school is part of the NSW Education Department you will be informed by your Education Board regarding the upgrade, which they are managing.

In the meantime, please do not worry, just continue to use the system as you have been you will be notified by the Education Board in good time.

Kind regards

So the story I was told is in fact correct, the DEC are not paying for more days with Chemwatch. Oh how very interesting, which means we will have to learn another program and site. This is so silly. Not happy at all.

If you are upgrading to FFX then its very similar to CG3. As an independent school we upgraded a little while ago and it was quite an easy transition.

I'm also on CG3, and have been getting the obsolete warning. We're an independent school, so we have to manage our own transition, which I still need to get around to... Can I get a hint about the cost before contacting the Chemwatch people?

There is no additional cost, your HOD needs to contact CW and they will switch to FFX. Your store, manifest and the rest will be transferred
