Full SDS for dangerous chemicals

Post by superbug »

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows whether we need full sds's for dangerous goods in our chemical register?
I have noticed some chemicals are non hazardous but are dangerous, do I still need to include them in the chemical register?

Thanks Superbug

Yes you do for the faculty and whole school register. You still only need the mini for classroom use.

Hi AnnNos,
Is there anywhere where I can get this information from, to show my head teacher?

The reason I am asking is because I thought dangerous goods code (DGC) is only for transport not for storage.

Thanks Superbug

Please try the CSIS Chemical safety in schools, any way your Head teacher should already know this. You must have a full SDS for chemicals held at your School, in a central location.
