Manganese dioxide pellets

Post by MmaRamotswe »

Does anyone have a recipe for manganese dioxide "lumps" please, for oxygen preparation. I seem to remember that it involves making a paste with plaster of Paris but I'm not sure of the ratios.

There is no set recipe for the mixture. I have discussed it with the other lab assistant here at forrestfield and she feels the amount of plaster of paris should be no more than 25% of the total. As the plaster of paris is used just as a binder.
