Science Laboratory Assistant @ Al Sadiq College - Greenacre
Al Sadiq College is a moderate, co-educational Islamic School catering for students from K-4 at Yagoona and 5-12 at Greenacre. There are 200 students at the Greenacre campus and this is expected to increase. The school is a new facility completed in early 2012 with two new laboratories. There is a combination of young and enthusiastic staff as well as senior experienced staff, working together in a friendly environment.
We require an energetic and committed applicant for the above position commencing in 2013 working 2 to 3 days per week.
Essential Criteria:
Minimum of Certificate III in laboratory skills (or equivalent)
Be working towards or have attained a Certificate IV laboratory techniques would be an advantage.
Strong communication, organisational and computer skills (Word and Excel)
Ability to work cooperatively, as well as independently
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· preparing experiments for junior classes
· preparing experiments for senior Biology, Chemistry and Physics
· ordering equipment and chemicals
· correct storage of chemicals including labelling
· maintenance of chemical manifest
· preparing solutions
