TED Talks - Fantastic Video resource

Post by sunray18 »

I have been checking out the TED talks for a while now:
http://www.ted.com/
They have a range of talks on all topics, new and exciting technology and ideas- new ones are out every month, so i subscribe to an email update. The clips are 6 mins to 18 mins long.I convert them into a video format for Science staff to use in classes. You can also view them on You Tube.
Go to the site and enter a search if you want to view my recommendations, otherwise just choose a topic and see what is on offer.
Some great ones I can recommend:
The Secret Life of Plankton
NASA Eyes on the Solar System- Viet(Jon) Nguyen
Pollination- Louie Schwatzberg
Deep Ocean Mysteries and Wonders - David Gallo
The Weird and Wonderful World of Bioluminescence - Edith Widder
Unseen Footage Unseen nature - Karen Bass
True Cost of Oil - Garth Lenz
How to Look inside the Brain - Carl Schoonover.....
AND MY FAVOURITE - nerons - The Cockroach Beatbox - Greg Gage :cheesy:
