do you know what does the N 8-[ stands for in CSIS book under user code? e.g potassium bromate and and phosphorus tribromide

"N" Unacceptable for use by support staff, general teaching staff and students. It has a black dot.

What "not recomended" means; forbiden or we still can have it but be carefull. we just purchase potassium bromide and she ,my tormentor :rolleyes: , my boss :oops: said it is ok, she is the only one using it :mad:

Potassium bromide is different. It is suitable for yr7-12.
Check the label, they are two different chemicals.

it is for the Zhabotinsy reaction year 12 chem

When I was unsure of a chemical, I did a bit of research and found this on the DET website
An online Chemical Safety in Schools

I printed up the Chemicals banned in schools and now keep it as a hard standalone copy
