Saturated Solutions

Hi all

I need to make up a saturated solution of potassium nitrate. Please help with quantities. And shoiuld I warm the solution to help dissolve as much as possible?

I usually use warmed water. Place the required water volume in a beaker , and place on a magnetic stirrer. Add the solid until no more will dissolve. Pour off the supernatent into another container. This is your saturated soln. For storing a sat soln, I just keep a little undissolved solid in the bottom of the bottle.
