Where does everyone store their thymol? it seems to be incompatable with everything!

thymol D.G 8 corrosive, you can store it with solid corrosives chemicals :oops: at least mine is there

CSIS lists thymol as NR.

Thanks for bringing this up. I just checked ours and it was sitting on the shelves with all the general chemicals yet the MSDS has a hazard alert High Corrosive and toxic to marine life 8O hmmmmmm

It says in CSIS NR (not a regulated dangerous good) But the MSDS says class 8: and also says it should be segregated from :

strong reducers (hydrides, nitrides, alkali metals, sulphides), sulphuric acid, nitric acid of any kind, alkalies, oxidising agents, and carbonates. :-( At the moment I have it on the corrosive solids shelf in its own containment tray, but I don't have enough room for a buffer zone beyond that.

Thanks guys. Think I'll move it from NR (Non Regulated) - sorry Lyn! - to DG8.

Gosh I hope that CSIS Appendix D gets 'upgraded' after the new WHS Legislation comes in next year.

Yeah, yeah... I hear you all .... I won't hold my breath! LOL!!
