Some of us still log in each day to see what is going on and
to find out what is in the night sky

At the moment I'm hoping that the contractors are demolishing my prep rooms and labs as we were told they would in the holidays.

For others getting renovations done, start early packing things up and clearing spaces. If your teachers are much like mine only 3 of the 10 did anything to help with the packing up and moving.
As the bell went for the holidays last friday I still had at least an hours work to have the place clear, and all bar the HT and my sister ( she is one of the teachers) cleared off. They helped me with the last little bit, though most of it was just put into the store room on the benches for me to sort when I get back.

It will be good when it is all finished but there is a long 2 terms ahead until all 7 labs are done. :-)

Commiserations to those at work, enjoy your holidays those that are on them.

Hope your lab reno is going well Wendy! And I hope everyone else getting new ones comes back to them well on their way with no hassles!

I get a new additional lab this year, maybe next sometime... not looking forward to the moving in bit! But at least I don't have to pack it all up first!!!

Cheers Kel :w00t:

I wondered why there weren't many posts ! Didn't realise NSW was on holidays.
I don't send many posts (Victorians don't seem to use Chemtalk much for some reason), but I log on now & then just to see what's going on and what snippet of information I might pick up. It's great !

Many Victorians do not know about Chemtalk. When going to the Lab. Tachs. conference I do make a point of telling everyone I can about it. Victorians use a list serve where emails go out to everyone on the service, asking and offering advice. I prefer this as I log in when I want to and do not get emails that I cannot help with or sometimes I am just not interested.
Even with this website, one only has to read those we are interested in. Much better!

I must admit I use Chemtalk and the Listserve. I figure the more information and help I can get the better for me ! It's all great and useful help and information. You do tend to get a bit inundated with emails from the listserve, but I just check regularly as sometimes I find out something I didn't know or someone may have a query that I also have. Just need to delete emails regularly !

Yep I prefer chemtalk too. The ability to search what you want is fantastic.

But it's the "MADNESS" 8O that makes it fun! And you learn at the same time - what could be better than that???
