I was wondering if someone could send me a copy of this booklet as well. I am running out of ideas at this stage. We have Grade 5's coming week 4 each term plus this year not just Grade 6 Orientation day but two grade 6 transition days before that. These all involve Science and people ask me to come up with ideas.

With thanks

SCIENCE WEEK:- What are you all doing? I have a teacher who wants to do BIG things and I am trying to say yes to most of her ideas whilst toning them all down to basic safety. She wants to throw sodium into a bucket for example, I said NO! She wants to do elephants toothpaste so it explodes way up into the air, I said OK BUT not too big. She is keen to get liquid nitrogen too. 8-[
We will do a science themed morning tea do you have any ideas to share? For food and any ideas for amazing demos? :D

Thanks Labbie, so can anyone email me a copy of the booklet please? Gorman.Mary.T@edumail.vic.gov.au We are already doing things like blue bottle, traffic light, elephants toothpaste, drops of water on a coin, paper planes and/or rockets, transpiration (colouring flowers), refractive index (disappearing glass) etc.
Love any other morning tea food ideas as well.
Thank you

Yes, I was looking at the toothpick stars for next week. We need to substitute one of the pracs that didn't work well and I saw that one. Given that Science Week seems to have crept up on us this year, I'm looking for a simple alternative. I'm hoping the teachers think it is okay! Now to try to convince them to ditch the honeycomb prac - yuk!
